The overall planning, tasking, and analysis of ERW related information is complex and in the majority of cases, the threats posed by Landmines and UXO are not considered during normal Construction and Oil and Gas Project development processes. The skills required to mitigate these threats are normally a new field of Project activity but failure to address them will more than likely lead to significant impacts on the overall Project programme. Most organisations do not have a dedicated ERW mitigation capability to assist in identifying schedule crunch from the outset.
